Here is the commissiong pamphlet, thanks to Bill Sigmund who is shown as a SN on the crew list and retired as an ETCS. It is so very ironic that the first skipper, Capt. Dubois would end his life on the Lorain County. See the log entry below. Guess who signed the pamphlet - "31 Knot Burke", CNO, but more famous as COMDESRON 23 (Little Beavers). He was victorious in the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay in the Solomons, one of the great ship/ship actions of WWII.
